ABOUT US

Founded in 2015, Sunset View is the brainchild and creative outlet of Laura Rasparini.

Laura was born in Italy and after traveling the world she found herself volunteering as a teacher in Inhambane in 2007 and fell in love with “Terra da Boa Gente” - or Land of The Friendly People as Inhambane Province is so lovingly called.

In 2009 she saw the potential in a run down colonial house (one of the first houses built on the beach in Tofo) and found her passion for design.  She completely refurbished the space and created a boutique beachfront guesthouse from scratch, Casa na Praia.

In 2015 Laura acquired another piece of land that is now Sunset View. A gorgeous lot overlooking a lush savannah surrounded by coconut trees. The second part of her story began.

Piece by piece, room by room, she artfully designed herself - a unique mix of modern African design - local materials and repurposed fabrics to create what Sunset View is today. A maze of quirky units ranging from studios, suites, apartments, and houses thoughtfully designed in a peaceful garden. Only a few meters from central Tofo market and the beach, and a stones throw to the best bars and restaurants in Tofo.
